POLICIES

Shipping:

We ship with either Day & Ross, Canada Post or Purolator Freight. We mainly sell to Canada and the US, but due to many requests from abroad we have recently begun shipping worldwide as well. For items listed in the shopping cart, shipping is calculated automatically for you prior to checkout. For items not set-up in the shopping cart, contact us for a shipping quote based on the actual weight and the destination.

Payment:

Methods of payment accepted: Paypal – Credit Card By Phone – Certified Bank CHQ – T/T Bank Wire Transfer – In-store Debit/Credit – In-store Cash.

We accept bank transfers and credit card/debit payments through Paypal. If you do not already have a PayPal account, you can sign up for a FREE account using your credit or debit card. This can be done when you purchase your item at checkout.

If you’d rather use funds from your checking account, you can sign up for a PayPal account at any time. This method does not require you to use your credit card online (you can transfer money directly from your bank account).

Certified Bank Cheques in Canadian Funds are accepted for larger purchases, but please request a detailed invoice in advance.

We accept T/T Bank Transfers for larger and out of country purchases. Just contact us by email and you’ll receive a detailed invoice including the T/T Bank Transfer details.

Taxes:

Purchases in Manitoba are subject to 8% PST and 5% GST.

Purchases anywhere else in Canada are subject to 5% GST, with the exception of BC, ONT and NS which are subject to HST.

Purchases outside of Canada are not subject to sales tax but may be subject to local duties.

Sales Policy:

Wind systems, PV systems and any related components are custom made and supplied according to individual specifications. All sales are final on wind & solar systems and any related components. For information pertaining to any defects in workmanship or warranty issues, please see the below sections called “Warranty” and “Return Policy”.

Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the substantive law of the Province of Manitoba. Evolve Green specifically excludes the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods from this Agreement and any transaction between them that may be implemented in connection with this Agreement.

Warranty:

Evolve Green will assist customers with all manufacturer warranty items if requested. We will gladly assist you with processing warranty claims for items purchased from us. We can also assist you with any replacement parts or accessories you may need to order. Customers can also go direct to Manufacturers to process warranty items.

Please note; Improper installation or operation of your wind turbine will null and void your manufacturer warranty. Please ensure your system is professionally installed by a qualified installer. Wind turbines, like other sources of electrical power, must be installed following the guidelines established by your state/province and local regulations. Consult a local electrical contractor or the local planning and zoning office for details and regulations.

Please note; Wind turbines with auto-furl are not intended for use at a height over 40 feet high. They are also not intended for locations situated on a cliff, hill or incline of any sort. This type of incline will create an updraft that will inhibit the auto-furl feature from functioning properly and will cause damage to the turbine. Please ensure when installing a turbine with auto-furl, that you choose a flat surface that is level.

Warranty Validation instructions; Please have your installer sign off on your receipt upon completion of the installation and mail a photocopy to “Evolve Green”. In addition you’ll need to take photos of the complete electrical system, charging system and the wind turbine to send in to us along with your receipt to verify that proper installation has been done. The receipt copy along with the above mentioned photos can be mailed to the address shown below.

Evolve Green shall not be subject to and disclaims all consequential or incidental damages claimed to result from use of our products.

Repairs and maintenance should be performed by your installer. Tip; Find out in advance what kind of after service warranty your installer offers.

Warranty Periods:

Most wind turbines come with a standard 1-2 year manufacturer warranty. Various extended warranties are also offered by the majority of our manufacturers. Extended warranties must be bought at the time of your wind turbine order.

Solar panels come with anywhere from a 5-25 year manufacturer warranty depending on the manufacturer, which also includes variable efficiency guarantees. Please read the item description or ask us to confirm the warranty details for a particular model.

Inverters and controllers have a wide range of warranties offered depending on the manufacturer.

Return Policy:

Defective Items

For defective items, please contact us within 2 days of receiving your order to report the problem. Please contact us through the online contact form and request your RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization Number) and include a description of any noted defect. Once you’ve received your authorization number from us, please ensure you return ship the item within 14 days. The item must be shipped in the original packaging and with all the documentation it came with. When preparing your item to ship back to us, you’ll need to pack the manufacturer box inside a shipping box so that it is well-packaged in a secure and safe manner. Only ship through UPS with insurance coverage.

Please note; Returned items that are approved for return for any other reason will be subject to a 30% restocking fee. Please contact us in advance to make arrangements and to ask any related questions. Thank-you.

Shipping Damage & Missing Items

Please thoroughly check for any possible signs of shipping damage before signing for your package. If you should happen to notice any damage after the shipper has already left, please contact us right away. All damage should be reported to us within 2 days of your delivery, so we can contact the shipper to file a damage claim on your behalf. If you notice any items missing from your order, please notify us immediately so we can have the missing product shipped to you as soon as possible. Please report missing items within 2 days of receiving your order to qualify for a free replacement.

Custom Price Quotes:

The first two custom price quotes in any 30 day period will be provided free of charge. A custom price quote refers to any quote request that consists of products and/or systems that are unique and are not already listed on our website. Additional custom price quote requests made by the same individual will be available for a modest fee of $10.00 CAD per quote. We have limited the number of free custom price quotes made to any one individual within a specified amount of time, in order to offer all of our customers an equal opportunity for the best customer service possible. We pride ourselves in responding to all customer inquiries as quickly and as efficiently as we possibly can. System recommendations and regular price quotes are still 100% free. Please note: Price quotes are good for 30 days from the date of completion. Thank-you.

Consulting Services:

We receive many requests from professionals who are working on third party quotes for large projects and/or tenders who are in need of system design assistance, system recommendations and detailed price quotes. If you require any of these services and have a deadline to meet, we offer consulting services for a flat fee $150.00 CAD per hour of consultation. For larger projects, consulting services are billed at a 6 hour/day rate. Travel cost and any related expenses for overnight or extended stays are extra.

We consult on technical design for renewable alternative energy systems. Payment for this service is required in advance, and a full credit of this fee will be issued and applied upon the completion of your purchase. To obtain our consulting service you can request an invoice by email at; support@evolvegreen.ca If you need to verify a deadline that needs to be met, you can state this request in advance by email as well. Instant payment for this service can be made with credit card by phone, bank wire transfer, or through paypal. Please note: Price quotes are good for 30 days from the date of being issued.
